I'm fighting off being sick because this weekend is the wedding of two dear friends/staff workers from college. It will be so good to be in Berkeley again and around friends. I'm preparing to give a talk at our youth program next week and I've been looking at old journal entries from my high school - college days (some of the roughest years of my life). I've forgotten/(repressed?) a lot, but learned a lot also. It is really interesting to look at yourself at age 17-21 through 25 year old eyes.
The last 2 weddings I went to were of interracial couples, this wedding is an interracial couple, and the next one (May) is an interracial couple. My plan to take over the world is slowly coming to fruition. (insert evil laugh here) A walk-in client just left and was thanking me for being patient and helpful. She was going on about how she loved Asian people and always hoped one of ther sons would marry an Asian. She then proceeded to ask about when I graduated from college and told me about her 26 year old son in Santa Cruz, six feet tall and such a doll. (Her words, not mine).

those years were kinda tough, but i love that we made it through.
i'll be in berkeley this saturday, i'd like to hug you if possible.
