Before I went to college I never really ate burritos or sushi. Now I crave them on a regular basis.
Anyways, the point of this is that I want you to be awed (or at least mildly tempted) by the burrito that captured my taste buds some 8 years ago in Berkeley:

(from La Burrita)
This weekend was wonderful and memorable.
Friday night Maybe and I saw Sonic Youth at the Greek Theater.
Saturday we:
-had breakfast (biscuits and gravy!) with my Mom
-went to Museum of the Month day and saw the Watts Towers. A very beautiful place with an inspiring and touching story!

-had burgers/fries/hot dogs at a place in Inglewood called "Phat and Juicy Burgers"
-saw Maybe's band play. (remember they are an old-school/hardcore punk band) Brought three youth from my church, and MY MOM. She was the oldest person there and genuinely enjoyed it.
-fulfilled Maybe's longstanding wish to "hang out" at Life Plaza in Rowland Heights. Had Shabu Shabu.
Sunday I went to church with his family and had lunch at the standard: El Cholo. Accidentally took a nap. Went to have ice cream with Vi and caught up! Returned to Maybe's house and walked the dog with him. Had dinner. Watched a great Japanese film "Nobody Knows". Returned to my Mom's house, showered, watched Will and Grace while she brushed my hair.
